I haven't spent as much time at the race track this year as I have in the past, so it was a lot of fun to put together this short video of Dirt Late Model racing action.
This was all shot at Lancaster (SC) Motor Speedway while working on a separate project for Circle Track Magazine. Lancaster is one of my favorite tracks--not to mention close to my house--the action is always good and the people are fun to be around. All the video was shot over, I think, two weekend's of action.
I've really been enjoying my GoPro video camera, and have been trying to find new and inventive ways to stick it in harm's way. All of the in-car shots were done with the GoPro, and I really like how it got the rear suspension working as the driver powered through the turns. And special thanks to Mike Huey and his team, since they put up with me as I crawled all over their cars to mount the camera in different locations.
By the way, if you are interested in making your own videos, GoPro supports Horsepower Monster with every customer I send their way. If you are going to buy a camera anyway, please consider supporting what we do here by going through this link:
